At the beginning of January, I played two gigs with Analog Honking Device and guest Brent Jensen. Musically they were a success and a lot of fun. I was especially pleased with the sound of two basses (electric and acoustic) at Wayward. The next night at Egan’s was a high energy, 90-minute set with piano, bass and drums. On both nights, we segued between tunes based on a set list but that was all of the direction that was determined beforehand. The music was free yet structured and yes, it was a seat-of-the-pants adventure for everyone present.
